FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...
How far in advance do I need you book your services?
Typically couples book 1-2 years in advance of their wedding date. It goes without saying that the earlier you book the better chance your chosen wedding date will be available. Also an early booking will protect you from any price rises!
What kind of deposit is required to book and when is the remaining balance due?
A £500 deposit secures my services on your wedding date. Any remaining monies owed are due any time up to 1 month prior to your wedding date. Upon booking, an invoice will be sent to you detailing this!
What is your experience in the wedding industry?
In 2010 I established Miles Hart Photography in Surrey and South London. Upon moving to Wales in 2015 I began working for Ryan Welch Weddings as a lead photographer. Once again I now shoot wedding under my own name in both South Wales & Wiltshire where I now reside and I'm loving every minute of it! I have now shot hundreds of weddings over the last 10+ years and have built some pretty special relationships with my clients in the process.

What is your photography style?
Having shot weddings at nearly every single venue in South Wales, and capturing memories for couples from all religions, races and backgrounds, I'm experienced at adapting my style to please my clients. This said I always aim for a natural and relaxed approach to every wedding day, concentrating on achieving photos that look unposed yet stylish and elegant.
One of my biggest bugbears is wedding photographs that are edited to look overly stylised. In other words, they may look great today, but in just a few years may appear dated and unattractive. I insist on my edits to look clean and true to life. This creates a timeless aesthetic that will stand the test of time!
What sort of images do you take throughout the day?
I'm open to any requests from my couples. I want them to feel in control of the outcome of their wedding photographs. This said, during bridal prep I ensure beautiful photos of the brides & bridesmaids dresses, shoes, jewellery, flowers and any other accessories are captured. I then take candid shots of the preparations including hair and makeup being done, and aim to capture the atmosphere of the room. I also take group shots of the bridal party, close family, and solo shots of the bride in her dress.
I take shots throughout the ceremony including the signing of the register. If you wish confetti to be thrown afterwards, I can arrange your guests into two lines so you can walk through the middle making for some great shots! In the time between the ceremony and your wedding breakfast, I conduct the group shots which you've requested during our final consult. These will typically include a shot of everyone, various extended family and immediate family, the bridal party and any friend shots. Once you've had a chance to enjoy a drink, canapé and mingle with guests, I'll then take a sequence of beautiful couple shots =)
Before your wedding breakfast I'll ensure lots of candid photos are captured of your friends and family enjoying themselves, whilst before everyone sits down in your reception room, I'll take interior and detail shots of your dressed room, place settings, centre pieces and any other decorative touches. After your wedding breakfast I take photos during the speeches, both of the speakers as well as candid reactions from your guests. Heading into the evening I'll typically get shots of your cake cutting, lots of candid and posed shots of your guests, all before capturing your first dance!
Crisis! What if it rains? What if your camera breaks? What if you fall ill? Do you have insurance?
Lets face it, in the UK it may well rain at any time of the year. I've had plenty of soggy weddings but that's never stopped me from taking some awesome photos! If the weather isn't ideal then we simply make the most of the day and if all else fails, grab the brolly and wellies!

Ready for any eventuality, I carry back up equipment for the unlikely event that a camera / lens / flash or any other essential item malfunctions.
Touch wood, out of the hundreds of weddings I've shot, I've never missed one through illness! To rest any anxiety though, I'm connected to a simply brilliant community of local professional photographs who are ready to take over in the unlikely event that I am taken ill on your wedding day.
I also have public liability insurance to cover every wedding that I shoot.
What are your turnaround times?
Whilst the time it takes for me to cull, edit and deliver your wedding photos can vary depending on the time of year, I regularly achieve a fast turnaround of under 8 weeks from your wedding date to send you your online gallery!

What regions do you cover?
Most of my weddings are in Wiltshire, South Wales, the West Country, the South of England and Surrey. This said, I can travel further afield. In this eventuality accommodation may be required.
Do you provide a contract for both parties to sign?
Of course! You don't want to take any risks with the planning of your wedding day, so upon booking I will send over an e-contract for both parties to sign. This will confirm your package, secure my services on your wedding date, and outline expectations and our cancellation policy.
